We've been hard at work all summer on new city-inspired scents, traveling to these great American cities, and finding out what makes them unique. We've done our research too. Did you know that Gardenia Manii, is a type of gardenia that can only be found on the island of Oahu? Gardenia is a succulently rich, jasmine and vanilla-like scent, and it is found as the key ingredient in one of our newest fragrances, Oahu Gardenia. Plumeria, an exotic Hawaiian tropical flower used to create leis can also be found in the Oahu fragrance. In addition, we are excited to also debut Boston Tobacco Leaf, Savannah Magnolia, and Malibu Honeysuckle (our favorite to wear right now in this beautiful autumn weather). Each of these new scents come in 10ml perfume oil roll-ons. What do you think these great cities should smell like?
You can try out all our scents in the Nomaterra
adventure set. Perhaps they will remind you of your hometown, a place you've been to, or a place you dream of going to.
Happy Adventuring!

This past weekend was a busy one here at Nomaterra, with back to back events at Bella Cara, a fantastic boutique which sells Nomaterra fragrances in Washington D.C., and with Sniffapalooza's Spring Fling Event.
The Sniffapalooza Spring Fling was "an entire weekend crammed full of olfactory and multi-sensory experiences. You'll come away with new knowledge, new friends, lots of new goodies, and a new perspective on a fragrant life."
Nomaterra founders Ben and Aggie gave a presentation about Nomaterra at the Spring Fling; they discussed the story behind the brand, how Aggie creates each of our fragrances, and more!
Thanks to everyone who attended the event!
Happy Monday, everyone!
We hope you all had a fantastic weekend; our founders, Ben and Aggie, certainly did! They spent the weekend in London, and held an event to introduce our fragrances to the United Kingdom on Saturday, April 20th.
Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day, and the event took place from 12pm-5pm. We were located on the 1st floor of the store in the beauty and fragrance sections, among a ton of other fragrance brands from Guerlain to Creed and beyond! We introduced our scents to local Brits and tourists alike; one woman visiting from Washington, D.C., absolutely loved our D.C. fragrance! Our scents were so successful that Ben and Aggie ended up staying an hour late to keep mingling and telling the stories behind each of our scents.
Many thanks to everyone who came by and explored Nomaterra's fragrances with us! Cheers!
Two weeks ago Nomaterra attended Missionelle's
Art of Seduction event at the Flatiron Hotel. At the event our founder Aggie discussed a number of scents and essential oils which are known to be aphrodisiacs and have been used throughout history in the art of seduction, which got us thinking about our own scents. Which of ours would be the best to use for a special date night, we wondered? As it turns out, our sultry Miami fragrance features six of these super seductive ingredients! Read on to learn about what those ingredients are and why they're so sexy!

Vanilla Pods[/caption]
Vanilla has always been known as a seductive oil; it increases production of sexual hormones (testosterone and estrogen), and there's a hefty dose of vanilla in our Miami fragrance! Miami also has musk in its base, which has a special effect on women. Musk makes women feel confident, sensual and sexy- men can't really smell it; women smell it 1000 times stronger than men do! But confidence is key in any seductive endeavor, so musk is a great thing to use!

Jasmine Flower[/caption]
Cleopatra, one of the most renowned lovers of all time, is reputed to have scented the sails of her ship with jasmine to seduce Mark Antony as she sailed to meet him. This sweet, pungent flower provides much of the sweetness found in our Miami scent.

Juicy Grapefruit, citrus[/caption]
People who wear a pink grapefruit scent are said to be perceived to be six years younger than their actual age! Now that's certainly sexy!
[caption id="attachment_2591" align="aligncenter" width="275"]
East Indian Sandalwood[/caption]
Men love the sweetness and woodiness of sandalwood and it has been shown in several studies to increase sexual arousal.

Exotic Ylang Ylang Flower[/caption]
Ylang Ylang is a rich, sultry scent that enhances libido and increases attraction between lovers. It can soothe the overanxious while boosting low energy. Ylang ylang has also been said to open emotions and promote a more sensual experience during love making.
So, for your next sultry experience, be sure to pick up some of
Nomaterra's Miami fragrance! Brimming will all of these super sexy ingredients, it's sure to be an instant boost to your confidence!
